Overview

The Litters tab lets you announce and manage your current, upcoming, and past litters. When you post a litter, pet seekers with matching litter alerts are notified automatically, and the litter appears on your public profile.

Creating a Litter Listing

  1. Go to the "Litters" tab in your Breeder Dashboard.
  2. Click "Add Litter".
  3. Fill in the details:
    • Title — A name for the litter (e.g., "Spring 2026 Golden Retriever Litter").
    • Description — Details about the litter, expected traits, and any special notes.
    • Breed — Select from your listed breeds.
    • Sire and Dam — Select the parents from your animal registry.
    • Status — Planned, Expected, Available, or Sold Out.
    • Expected date — When the litter is expected or was born.
    • Availability date — When puppies/kittens will be ready to go home.
    • Count — Total number in the litter and how many are available.
    • Pricing — Set prices in one or more currencies.
  4. Upload photos of the litter or parents.
  5. Click "Save".

Understanding Litter Statuses

  • Planned — A breeding is planned but not yet confirmed. This lets interested pet owners get on your waiting list early.
  • Expected — The breeding is confirmed and the litter is on the way.
  • Available — Puppies/kittens are born and available for reservation or pickup.
  • Sold Out — All animals in this litter are spoken for.

Updating a Litter

Keep your litter listings current by updating the status and availability count as animals are reserved or sold. To update:

  1. Click Edit on the litter you want to update.
  2. Change the status, available count, photos, or other details.
  3. Click "Save".

Tip: Promptly marking litters as "Sold Out" prevents you from receiving inquiries for unavailable animals.

Deleting a Litter

To remove a litter listing, click Delete and confirm. Deleted litters are permanently removed from your profile and dashboard.
